The Grays Harbor Institute was established in 2005 by a group of citizens to create a speaker series in Grays Harbor that would provide lectures, seminars, round-tables and other presentations for the educational benefit of the general public. Presentations will investigate, analyze, synthesize and promote democratic ideals consistent with ending poverty and racism and advancing human, civil, environmental, educational and health rights.

In 2011, The Grays Harbor Institute received from the FCC a license for a full-power, non-commercial public radio station and KGHI 91.1 FM began broadcasting to most of Grays Harbor County. Shortly thereafter, KGHE 89.1 FM was added to serve East Grays Harbor County. We offer classical music, progressive radio programming, and more.
